Sanjiv G. Patel, Esq. is an associate for Andrew M. Schwartz Legal Team. He is a member of the Florida Bar, and has been a member of the Florida Land Title Association (and its Forms Committee), as well as the Title Issues & Standards, Title Insurance & Title Insurance Liaison Committees of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar. Before joining Andrew M. Schwartz Legal Team, he was State Underwriting/Title Counsel for a national title insurance underwriter in its Orlando, Florida office for approximately five years specializing in both commercial and residential sales and refinances, and provided various continuing legal education courses approved by the Florida Bar. Sanjiv was also senior litigation/claims counsel for approximately nine years at another national title insurance underwriter where he was a founding member of the Counsel Retention Group, a best-in-class retention process via a database information system that reviewed and tracked thousands of requests for counsel nationwide each year to optimize legal strategy and price for each title insurance claim. Sanjiv has over 22 years of experience in law and business development/management, emphasizing real estate transactions (commercial and residential purchases, sales, refinances, etc.) and commercial/insurance litigation in both the federal and state trial and appellate courts.
Sanjiv graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Business Administration majoring in Management Information Systems (Magna Cum Laude with Distinction) in 1996, and graduated from of The Ohio State University’s College of Law in 1999.
Sanjiv resides in Windermere, Florida with his wife Jagruti and their child.
